Meet The Buznards!
Each member of the family in this video was inspired by characters from films or real life. The Buznards, for example, were influenced by the Sawyer family, but we added our own unique twist. If you look closely, you might be able to connect the dots if the name sounds familiar.
Angus
Gabriel plays Angus, the mute, strong member of the family. His key features are the mask he wears to hide his face—because he doesn’t want anyone to see his "beauty"—and a dirty apron, hinting that he’s the one who handles the dead animals Hubert finds on the roads, or any people who might stumble into the home. He’s heavily inspired by Leatherface, but unlike in the film, Angus isn’t pushed around by the rest of the family.
Bernard
Jayden plays Bernard, as well as a few other killers in the flashbacks. Bernard is the family member who gets bossed around and picked on. He’s seen as the weaker and more timid one of the group—but that doesn’t mean he’s any less disturbed than the rest. He’s like a mix between Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer. You’ll see what I mean when you watch the video.
Hubert
Tristan plays Hubert, who is kind of the head of the family—though there's someone above him that you'll meet in the video. Hubert is a mix between the Hitchhiker and the Cook. He’s a filthy, unhinged man who draws questionable tattoos on himself with a Sharpie and takes pleasure in bullying Bernard for being "weird" and a "freak." He also has a fascination with collecting animal bones, which you’ll notice scattered around the home.
The Buznard Home
We were very lucky to find a property that was abandoned but still in surprisingly good shape—and one we were actually allowed to film on. At night, the house feels intimidating and creepy, with no lights in sight and overgrown with trees and bushes surrounding it. The inside was still intact, but we probably lost ten years off our lives from all the asbestos we were breathing in. Still, it was totally worth it.
